A hot day

Wow, it was very hot. Not only was it hot but very sunny. Not the best conditions for taking photographs. However, I had met up with a follower called Peter. We had arranged many times to meet up, but it got postponed many times. mainly because of bad weather.

The reason for today was about more street photography and maybe a bit of general stuff.

Relaxing

As it was a very hot day it was nice to see so many people out enjoying the lovely town of Swanage. Lets face it, stunning views and sea air is good for you. I am sure this nice gentleman will agree. Thanks for letting me take the photo!

Negative space

I will be doing more of this soon. So I did have a few shots as a trial to see how they came out. But I am sure you can get the idea from this as to what negative space is.

In this one the aim was to actually not have the boat in detail but more dark like it was under exposed. Then the negative space was full of colour. This made the boat stand out more .....

..... I like it.

My favourite shot of the day

I have been doing a bit of black and white stuff lately. Though I have this same shot in colour it just seems more attractive this way. The composition was fairly easy to find with the track running from the lower left corner. But, for added effect I took the shot threw a fence and kept the aperture wide open (F-4) for added blur.

Street photography - With Peter.

A big thanks to Peter for joining me today. What was going to be a full on day doing street photography with a bit of seascape turned out to be a day of chatting. I have to say I had great fun. Its always good meeting other photographers as you share tips & tricks and pick up new ideas. looking forward to the next time we get to meet up.
